After spending the weekend in San Antonio, the TexasHoops/GASO Staff stumbled upon three potential High Major candidates from the class of 2021.

Zachary Clemence, Langston Love and Kevin Adams all have the skill set of future high major players. Time will tell if it holds true by the time their senior year comes around, but we like what we saw.

We are still four years away from any of these three from the Central Texas area having to sign a letter of intent, but as of this weekend, they are three that are top of the class.

Zachary Clemence • 6-foot-8 • PF/C • San Antonio Antonian

Let’s start by stating that Antonian is loaded with talent and Clemence is leading the way with his ability to draw the defense away from the paint to score. Clemence has a soft touch from 15-feet and out past the three-point line. He also plays with bounce inside the paint and will go to work on the block. Clemence showed a high skill set during the GASO Fall Classic Saturday, and also during the TexasHoops.com Tops In Texas. He is trim built, but it’s obvious that he will mature and he will build strength.



Langston Love • 6-foot-4 • SG • Cibolo Steele

Steele is the hotbed in the San Antonio area who continues to produce division 1 talent. Love’s brother, Kajana Love attends New Hampshire, while Gerald Liddell has committed to the University of Texas and Jayden Martinez looks set to commitment in the near future as he has two Division I programs fighting for his services.

Love already has a college-ready body for a guard, and he is physical. His strength serves him well as he puts the ball on the floor and gets to the basket. The 6-foot-3 freshman will also stroke the three.


Kevin “KJ” Adams • 6-foot-6 • SG/SF • Austin St. Andrew’s

Adams participated in the Tops In Texas and it was clear from the moment he walked in, the 2021 prospect passed the eye test. Once Adams took the court, the athletically built Adams was indeed an elite tier player. Adams roamed around the perimeter nailing down the three and pull up jumpers. When he decided to mix things up, Adams casually put the ball on the floor and attacked the rim with ease. Adams is explosive and competes on both ends.

Christian Turner of South Grand Prairie caught my attention during his game versus a stingy and experienced Waxahachie opponent. Christian showed at 6-foot-6 that he would run the floor and make plays off the glass and hit mid-range shots.

During a minute span, Turner grabed an offensive board for a put-back and then sat on the block, faced the basket for a turnaround jumper. Turner has length and size to compete.

Turner said he has zero recruitment, but that should change in the near future.
